47/48 Transmission Warranty – Automatic Valve Body

Darkside Diesel transmissions include a non-transferable, two-year unlimited milage craftsmanship warranty from the date of purchase. For transmissions installed by Darkside Diesel, the warranty work and labor shall be covered at our shop. For transmission not installed by Darkside Diesel, removal and reinstall labor will not be covered, and warranty work must be performed by Darkside Diesel.

This warranty does not cover hard parts. This includes shafts, cases, gear train, etc. Electrical components are excluded from the warranty after ninety days from date of purchase. Additionally, this warranty does not include towing, shipping, rental vehicle fees, lodging, loss of use, loss of time or any per diem damages.

This warranty will be voided if the transmission has been altered, sustained abused from neutral drops, excessive power braking, water damage, overheating, installation errors, driveline vibrations, or damage caused by loss of fluid due to external leaks.

Transmissions not installed by Darkside Diesel must be installed by a professional automotive shop where proper cooler flushing is performed, and pressures can be checked to receive the warranty.

The customer must have the break-in service performed at approximately 1,000 miles. The break-in service includes having the fluid/filter changed and bands adjusted. Subsequently, the transmission must have the fluid/filter changed and bands adjusted annually or 15,000 miles, whichever comes first.

68RFE Transmission Warranty

Darkside Diesel transmissions include a non-transferable, two-year unlimited milage craftsmanship warranty from the date of purchase. 68RFE transmissions will only have a warranty if installed by Darkside Diesel.

This warranty does not cover hard parts. This includes shafts, cases, gear train, etc. Electrical components are excluded from the warranty after ninety days from date of purchase. Additionally, this warranty does not include towing, shipping, rental vehicle fees, lodging, loss of use, loss of time or any per diem damages.

This warranty will be voided if the transmission has been altered, sustained abused from neutral drops, excessive power braking, water damage, overheating, improper tuning, driveline vibrations, or damage caused by loss of fluid due to external leaks.

Warranty is void on vehicles with 35″ or larger tires unless proof of differential gear change is provided. Proof must be provided upon install.

The customer must have the break-in service performed at approximately 5,000 miles. The break-in service includes having the fluid/filter changed with OEM filters and DEXMERC transmission fluid. Subsequently, the transmission must have the fluid/filter changed with OEM filters and DEXMERC transmission fluid annually or every 15,000 miles, whichever comes first. Warranty is only eligible if serviced by a transmission shop. Service records, including mileage, date of service, quantity of fluid, fluid type, and filter part numbers, must be provided to maintain the warranty.
